SONIA WARGACKA

WARGACKA

is pronounced "v-uhr-gatz-kah"
...not that it made it easier!

I’m a driven and dynamic leader who excels in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. Proficient in team management and client relations, ready to bring exceptional interpersonal and project management skills.

A film school graduate, in the past I have also founded a global social impact video production collective called DoesItFeelGood.com .

Focused on telling the stories of organisations that matter, I have produced, directed and edited videos for charities and non-profits in over 10 countries on 4 continents.

DoesItFeelGood.com is now an archived project, but my passion for social impact lives on and it takes new forms - such as my MSc in
Humanitarianism, Conflict and Development.

I'm a high-end TV production coordinator, producer and a freelance videographer based in Bristol, UK.

My most recent TV credits include:
- Sex Education (Netflix)
- Wolf Hall (BBC)
- The Seven Dials Mystery (Netflix)
- His Dark Materials 3 (BBC/HBO)
- Becoming Elizabeth (STARZ)

For more details on each of the projects, please scroll down.

My most recent indie credits are:
- "Hungry Joe" (featured on
Short of the Week)
- "
Rave On for the Avon" (currently in festival circuit).

I am a member of
BAFTA Connect, Bristol Crew
and
Bristol Film.

DISCOVER SOME OF MY PROJECTS

WHAT DO I DO?

Pick your adventure.

  • TV Production

I am now an established high-end TV Production Coordinator, and running film sets of 200-300 crew and cast is no problem for me. I have also recently completed Screenskills training on stepping up to Production Manager. See my IMDB profile for credits.

  • Video Production

I specialise in making things happen. So much so that once upon a time I produced a feature film on no budget. These days I prefer to work more sustainably and with money involved (please!), but hey. If you're doing something cool, let me know.

  • (Ex)Entrepreneur

The year was 2018. Before the rise of TikTok, Instagram reels and COVID, I set up a social impact videography collective with my partner and we delivered videos in 10 countries on 4 continents. We usually did it within 24 hour turnaround. This project is now archived, but you can read more about it here.

  • Events Coordination

My organisational skills can support those who need a helping hand with their creative businesses. I have delivered events for Sheffield DocFest, TEDxBristol, South West Business Showcase, and many more.

  • TV Presenting

I love the camera and I'm open to work as a presenter. In the past I have worked to provide live coverage in Polish for two very well known Polish organisations, Pol'and'Rock Festival and The Great Orchestra For Christmas Charity (WOSP), for their TV channel Kreciola.tv.

  • Motivational Speaking

I love working with youth and I often get invited to do so, which I feel very grateful for. In the past, I have given a TEDx talk called "How To Fail A Gap Year Gloriously". Most recently I have spoken to teenagers at United World College Costa Rica on pursuing creative careers.

TESTIMONIALS

“I wanted to tell you that I am very happy to have had you on our team. In addition to all your videomaker’s skills and creativity, you are a wonderful people person. Any interaction with you lifts my spirits up and somehow increases the energy levels even when I am veeery exhausted. You have this contagious positive nuclear energy spreading around your bright (literally) persona.”

“Everything regarding Sonia’s professionalism was spot on. She was able to make everyone feel very comfortable in front of the camera (which is hard to do) and do their best.”

“We couldn’t have done the week without you.
Not only were you a spectacular videographer, you were a valued team member and a friend.”

“Thank you for your patience, diligence and scrappiness! You are one of kind and we were SO LUCKY that you just waltzed into our lives.”

”To be perfectly honest, I had no idea what to expect and then what we got was absolute gold. You are a force of nature, bringing out the best in all the staff and capturing the essence of what we are as an organization. For that, and for your unyielding calm and friendship, I really can’t thank you enough.”

“On numerous occasions, I told the team that Sonia was one of the very best highlights of this Summit and I truly mean that. You’ve got a future (and present) brimming with success and I’m so pleased that we got to be a small part of it.”
